Fabergé

Famous for his eggs, Fabergé was above all the goldsmith of the tsars. Pierre-Karl worked in his father's jewelry store in the mid-19th century and participated in the renovation of pieces in the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg. He received the title of master goldsmith in 1882 and diversified into costume objects. He then became a supplier to the imperial court during the reigns of Alexander III and Nicholas II, a period during which he designed a multitude of refined jewelry and decorative objects, including the famous eggs. The Fabergé name was acquired in 2007 by a French jeweler who drew inspiration from the legacy left behind to create jewelry, watches, and objets d'art.
