Delphine & Natty's opinion

It is very rare to present a treasure to you, here is a black lacquer fly box with gold pastille that belonged to Madame de Moussy, who wore it during her visits to the court of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. A document attests to this.

The history of jewelry

This box bears very legible hallmarks, for Paris 1777-1778, and of the Parisian master goldsmith Jean Henri Clément. Very good condition, for this small box which measures 6 cm X 4.2 cm by 2.5 cm in diameter.
It houses a treasure, namely a small handwritten document from the period stating that it belonged to Madame d'Arnault de Moussy, lady of the court of Louis XVI.....
