The house Miller

René Boivin founded the eponymous jewelry house in Paris in 1890. Its success stemmed from its refined jewelry, which contrasted with the trends of the time. Its creative power knew no bounds: the use of raw materials as well as the originality of its custom pieces attracted the attention of the aristocracy. Following the untimely death of its founder, it was the very young Suzanne Belperron who made the Boivin house prosper until her departure in 1932. The jewelry store closed its doors a few months after its acquisition in 1991 to become one of the most sought-after brands among collectors of vintage designer jewelry. Discover it on Maison ELOE.

The history of jewelry

Following the death of her husband René Boivin in 1917, Jeanne Boivin took over the workshops, abandoned her husband's classical heritage and developed her own personal art based on more original creations.
It should be noted that for more than 50 years, a work was conceived, produced and managed by women who hid behind a masculine name.
