Delphine & Natty's opinion

This dance card is not only a testament to the craftsmanship of the time, but also a window into the social and cultural life of the French court. The gold used for the cover and decorations symbolizes the wealth and social status of its owner, while the gouache, with its vivid colors and delicate finish, allowed for the creation of artistic motifs that reflected the aesthetic taste of the 18th century.
