Tortoiseshell and Gold Drageoir Directoire Period, Round box in brown tortoiseshell and gold signed by Master Goldsmith Mathias Roger It features a decoration of young nymphs crowning love in a wooded landscape.
It is marked “reconnoifsance” for the word recognition. It is framed with fine half pearls. The interior is gold and bears the hallmarks of 1798-1809 and 1780-1790 guarantee.
Dimensions: 7.5 in diameter by 2.5 cm in height
