The story begins when Fred Samuel opened his Parisian boutique in 1936. A pioneer in cultured pearl work in France, he built his reputation with his bold creations while collaborating with several renowned artists such as Jean Cocteau. His masterpiece remains the vintage Force 10 bracelet, born in 1966 from his passion for sailing, featuring a double braided cable combined with a boat shackle as a clasp. The history of jewelry

During World War II, the jeweler joined the Foreign Legion and was captured by the Germans. He managed to escape, but in 1941 was forced to remove the name “Samuel” from his shop and place a yellow star on it instead. Fred would then remain simply Fred, out of defiance and remembrance.
