Delphine & Natty's opinion

René Boivin worked primarily to order, often reusing his clients' old jewelry, making each piece unique. In addition, the house's recently acquired archives sometimes remain silent on certain models or their creators, fueling the mystery surrounding certain iconic creations such as the "Torque" bracelet (sometimes called "Corde" or "Barbare").
Authenticated vintage jewelry, rigorously checked in the workshop and certified.

The house Miller

René Boivin founded the eponymous jewelry house in Paris in 1890. Its success stemmed from its refined jewelry, which contrasted with the trends of the time. Its creative power knew no bounds: the use of raw materials as well as the originality of its custom pieces attracted the attention of the aristocracy. Following the untimely death of its founder, it was the very young Suzanne Belperron who made the Boivin house prosper until her departure in 1932. The jewelry store closed its doors a few months after its acquisition in 1991 to become one of the most sought-after brands among collectors of vintage designer jewelry. Discover it on Maison ELOE.

The history of jewelry

René Boivin, and later his wife Jeanne, left their mark on French jewelry with their boldness and originality. Rather than following the overly cluttered and glittering trends of their time, they favored refined forms, raw materials, and unusual combinations of materials, such as coral and diamonds in the same piece. Their passion for the arts (Cubism, abstract art, Art Deco) and their collection of ethnographic and antique pieces inspired many of their creations.
