Lacloche Frères "Knot" brooch in platinum and diamonds

This jewelry house left its mark on its time: founded in 1892 in Paris by the brothers Léopold and Jules Henry Lacloche, it quickly became a serious competitor to the jewelers of Place Vendôme thanks to the work of the most remarkable artisans of the time. Its Art Deco style seduced the jet set from all over the world and the brand did not hesitate to enrich its offer with watches and other small everyday objects (powder compacts, cigarette cases or lipsticks, etc.). Bankruptcy in 1931 did not prevent one of the nephews from relaunching the house after the war, supplying big names like Elsa Schiaparelli, the Carita sisters and Prince Rainier until 1966.
