Signed Morel and Duponchel, a superb bottle in cut crystal with a silver and vermeil mount “Les bulles de savon” from the Louis Philippe period. The body is decorated with two large cartouches and scrolls where two cherubs stretch their arms towards a third sitting on the stopper, a straw in their mouth blowing a soap bubble composed of a fine pearl.
Swivel stopper partially enamelled with arabesques. Work by Morel and Duponchel, cited by Henri Vever in his work La Bijouterie français au XIXème

The history of jewelry

Louis Philippe period Work by Morel and Duponchel cited by Henri Vever in his work "La Bijouterie français au XIX° siècle" reproduces the design of this bottle (Volume 1 pg 279). Charles Edmond Duponchel, architect of the Rothschild family, designed the hotel of Baroness James de Rothschild at 17 rue Lafitte, as well as part of the furniture on the ground floor.
