The history of jewelry

Poiray was founded in 1972 by François Hérail and Michel Ermelin, but the house's history really took off in 1975, when they moved to Rue de la Paix, a stone's throw from Place Vendôme, the heart of French jewelry. The name "Poiray" pays homage to Paul Poiret, the famous Art Deco couturier of the early 20th century, which explains the Art Deco inspiration present in many of its creations.
